Today was a class focused on group work. I usually don't like group work.
However, to my surprise this day was successful, I liked the fact that I was able to learn other people's ideas. I was also surprised that I had the opportunity to interact with people from FT2. I especially liked Selina's project, which also refers to her childhood and Dutch fairy tales.

Peer feedback:

During the class, I also got a lot of feedback from people who were at my table. I am impressed that many people were interested in my topic of work.

It has been pointed out to me that I usually identify the color palette right away and determine the style I will be working with, which I agree, comes very easily to me, but I feel that I often take too long to get into it instead of moving on. In this project, however, I will try to push my plan forward time and time again so I don't get stuck.

However, I also got feedback telling me that I should focus on the specific message I want to convey, instead of simply representing Polish culture as a whole.

However, I don't agree, maybe I also didn't express myself precisely about my idea, because I don't intend to represent Polish culture, only what stuck in my mind.

The things I want to focus on in terms of references to Poland and explain why:

- pagan traditions - the day of the ancients - I was at a performance in a theater a few years ago where they presented this ceremony, and it seems to me that it also refers to the fear of the child, so the two themes intermingle. The simplest common point for this is the ghost characters that appear in the book by A. Mickiewicz, who described the whole ritual. However, as a child, I remember imagining figurines with effigies, or my grandmother telling me not to do a certain thing, because " evil fairy tale characters" will come after me.
- Church traditions related to flowers - parades, I think it's typical in Poland and it was always a beautiful ritual for me. I remember women dressing up in folk costumes, with garlands on their heads, and then going out into the street with flowers they made.
- Forest shrines - near my family home, which is located on the outskirts of the city, you can find numerous shrines in the woods, which are always decorated with flowers or candles, although I am not a religious person, I feel that this has become part of the character of my country and has a strong aesthetic.

Reflection during classes:

I've noticed that I like to delve into historical research and would like to relate personal experiences and emotions in projects that I can identify with. If I fully immerse myself in a topic that interests me, I feel that exploring ideas comes easier. As a result, in my last project, I did things that usually gave me trouble - 3d samples, and draping. ( I should also be focused on sample-making in the new project).I know I'm also getting better at planning, and I can see the benefits of that, making me more efficient in my work. I have noticed a greater freedom to explore myself, allowing me to explore ideas without putting up barriers.

As a result, I've moved away from being locked into a framework, on the subject of what standard clothes look like. I try to act intuitively in this area and create abstract forms. I feel that in recent months I have become a more conscious and responsible artist, although I am mindful of the fact that I am still learning and developing. I plan to explore and develop more ideas rather than focusing on one insult. I feel that this will make me experiment even more in my work and not stop at small details. I still have this struggle in my subconscious because I feel I do not know what to focus on, the form or the print. I think bringing in some final designs could satisfy me and my need to grow on both levels. However, I want to keep the emotional and personal aspects of my work.
